Position Overview: The Akian College of Science and Engineering’s BS in Engineering Sciences (https://cse.aua.am/es/) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Electrical Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, starting in July 2026. Faculty members at AUA are expected to teach three courses per semester, pursue an active research agenda, and engage in program development and university service. We seek a dedicated individual who will contribute to our vibrant academic community through innovative research, teaching, and student mentoring.

Responsibilities:
- Teach courses related to analog and digital signal processing, analog and digital circuits, embedded systems, and digital systems design,
- Contribute to curricular and programmatic developments,
- Engage actively in research that contributes to the fields of analog and digital signal processing, analog and digital circuits, embedded systems, and digital systems design, publish findings in high impact journals,
- Mentor students in their academic and research pursuits, including capstone project supervision and independent studies,
- Participate in program, college, and university service activities,
- Perform other duties assigned by the Dean.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a PhD in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline. Applicants at the assistant professor level should have some teaching experience and a record of peer-reviewed publications. Candidates applying for the associate professor rank should demonstrate substantial teaching experience alongside an extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed work. We seek candidates capable of teaching and research within the areas of analog and digital signal processing, analog and digital circuits, embedded systems, and digital systems design. We also welcome applicants whose work spans other areas, such as control systems, power electronics, integrated circuit design, semiconductors, or related fields.
Requirements for this position include:
- PhD degree in electrical engineering or related field,
- Documented experience in research and teaching within the area of digital signal processing, digital circuits, embedded systems, and digital systems design,
- Documented ability to do research in other areas, such as control systems, power electronics, integrated circuit design, semiconductors or related fields,
- Documented experience in teaching in English,
- Documented experience in student supervision, including thesis supervision,
- Documented experience in collaboration with companies and/or other organizations in research and education,
- Documented experience in applying for research funding and involvement in Horizon Europe or the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded projects.
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with the university-wide pay scale and will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
