Pay Range
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Position Overview:
Execute improvement projects for process equipment and plant facilities as needed including troubleshooting of systems not operating as intended. Assist plant in meeting or exceeding stated safety, operational, and environmental goals. Support and work in tandem with plant electrical controls engineer.
Your Day to Day:
- Execute, support and lead elements of plant projects and implementations
- Diagnose and determine root causes of controls systems and electrical failure modes for plant controls and facility infrastructure
- Identify and provide solutions to improve plant and process equipment electrical safety
- Develop solutions to improve and/or correct controls-related downtime for the facility
- Teach, coach and support plant electricians to grow their electrical controls knowledge and skills
- Troubleshoot and correct operational issues as needed/requested
- Provide support to plant operations staff
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Team:
- Associate's degree, High School or Technical School diploma and a minimum of 8 years of work experience as a maintenance mechanic, electrician, or production operator in an automated, high-speed production facility
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Working knowledge of HMI/OIT programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Must be able to read/understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Must be self-directed and able to work with little or no direct oversight
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic data analysis skills
- Fundamental knowledge of Root Cause analysis
- Preference to have familiarity with Visio and AutoCAD software
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Moderate travel required (7 - 21 days per year)
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds
- Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility (may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.).
